To find Whitethorn Cottages couldn't be
easier, When coming from the Belfast City
Airport head for Bangor on the A2, pass the
Ulster Folk and Transport Museum and follow
the dual carriageway until you see Dicksons
Garden Centre. Prepare to turn Right for
Newtownards at traffic lights.
You will now go under a stone bridge and
sense you are going into the countryside.
Stay on this road and turn a right angled
corner beautifully planted with flowers.
This is the road to Craigantlet. Look out
for a red hazard sign showing on the left.
You want to take this road (Ballybarnes
Road).
Follow up the hill and round a zigzag bend.
Soon after this you will see a sign for a
road on the left, the Tullnagardy Road. You
have arrived, look out for a curved stone
wall and turn into the big pillars with the
wooden gates.
